Fans of The Lord of the Rings will be excited to learn that some of the author's furniture is soon to go on sale.
JRR Tolkien retired to a bungalow in Dorset for a time towards the end of his life.
Planning permission has now been granted for two four-bed family homes to be built on the site.
And the bungalow's current owner, Stephen Frankel, has given people the chance to buy Tolkien's remaining furniture before the house is demolished.
Mr Frankel told the Dorset Daily Echo: "There will be bits of history for people to pick up We had work done to modernise the house but it is still as it was when he lived here.
"I've had a lot of people go by and take pictures, so I just want to let people come and meander around."
Tolkien items thought to be on sale include mirrors, a corner unit and carpets.
