One-third of Brits unhappy with homes

Almost one in three British homebuyers are unhappy with their new home, according to a new study.
Insurance company AA found that nearly a sixth of new movers felt they did not get everything they expected from the house they bought, while 29 per cent said they found the buying process itself difficult.
More than one in ten buyers admitted worrying about hidden faults in their house, and nearly a fifth told AA that noisy neighbours led them to regret making the move.
"For most people, buying a home will be the most important purchase they make in their lifetime, so it's really important to get it right," commented Janet Pell, head of AA Home Insurance.
She pointed out that AA has enlisted a property expert to help the company offer advice to buyers and "ensure you've got something worth insuring".
Earlier this month financial experts emphasised the importance of homeowners remembering to insure their gardenfurniture.
Saga Home Insurance said expensive oak or pinegardenfurniture is often targeted by thieves, as are items such as barbecues, patio furniture, ornaments and bird tables.
