Pine furniture - furniture inspired by history

Historic Welsh landmarks were the main inspiration for a range of furniture currently on show in the capital.
Cathy Evans is one young designer whose creations are currently on display at the London New Designers Show.
Ms Evans explained that Castell Coch, a gothic castle near Cardiff, greatly influenced her designs.
She told the Western Mail: "The furniture is designed and crafted without compromise to allow the enjoyment of the article to last for generations.
"I want to create pieces of history to inspire others - just as heritage history, and in particular Castell Coch, has inspired me."
Lesley Evans, head custodian of the castle, commented: "Castell Coch is in itself a bold expression of Victorian creativity and ingenuity and it is fantastic that Cathy, as she starts on her new business venture, should have taken this magical site as inspiration for her work."
