Stars welcome new addition to their home

Charlotte Church and boyfriend Gavin Henson have named their daughter Ruby Megan.

The baby girl was born last Thursday night with the same weight as the Welsh songstress when she was born: six pounds 12 ounces.

The birth took place in the home Ms Church shares with her rugby star partner in the Vale of Glamorgan.

"Everything is fine with both her and Ruby," said a statement from the 21-year-old's publicist.

Meanwhile, Mexican-born actress Salma Hayek has announced the birth of her first child. Her daughter with her fiancé, French businessman Francois-Henri Pinault, has been named Valentina Paloma Pinault.

The 41-year-old Frida actress and executive producer of Emmy Award-winning show Ugly Betty worked throughout her pregnancy.

Both sets of new parents have weddings on the horizon, with the Welsh couple planning an exclusive magazine deal to reveal their nuptials and their new arrival.

Charlotte Church announced that she was expecting a baby on her website earlier this year following media speculation after her 21st birthday in February.
